You need:

– Belrina Nails (includes file, sticks & pads)
– UV Lamp
– Nail Scissors
– Optional: Belrina Multi Tool

Before use

Avoid direct sunlight

To ensure the best results, apply the gel strips indoors and away from direct sunlight. Exposure to natural UV rays can cause the gel to cure prematurely within seconds, making application more difficult.

Push back cuticles
Remove oil residues

Step 1:

Prepare Your Nails

Gently push back your cuticles using the included manicure stick or the optional Multi Tool. Remove any excess cuticle from the nail bed to help your gel strips last longer. Clean each nail thoroughly.

Tip: Wash your hands thoroughly with dish soap before applying to remove any oil residue.

Step 2:

Select size

Hold the UV Gel Strip over your nail and pick the best size from the 8 available widths. If you're unsure, go for the smaller size. The strips can be gently stretched to match your nail shape.

Tip: If the size isn’t quite right, simply trim the strip or apply it to one side of the nail and carefully stretch it across to fit the rest of the nail.

Step 3:

Apply the Strips

Place the UV Gel Strip on your nail and smooth it from the center outwards, avoiding contact with your cuticles.

Tip: Stretch the strip gently to match your nail shape before applying for a perfect fit.

Shorten
Fold

Step 4:

Shorten and fold

Trim the excess strip, leaving a small margin near the edge of your nail. Fold the remaining strip under the tip of your nail to cover the entire edge.

Tip: For shorter nails, you can save the leftover strip and use it for another nail.

Step 5:

Filing

Gently file the folded UV gel strip along the nail edge, filing in one direction only to prevent damage. Avoid filing in an up-and-down motion.

Tip: If filing is tricky, you can cure the strips first before filing, or use nail scissors to trim them to size.

Step 6:

Press edges

Gently press the edges of the UV Gel Strip onto your nail to ensure a secure fit. Use your fingers or the silicone hoof stick from the Multi Tool to press down, especially around the edges.

This step helps to prevent the strip from lifting or peeling during the curing process, ensuring a smooth and flawless finish.

Step 7:

Curing

Plug in the UV LED lamp and position your index, middle, ring, and little fingers centrally under the lamp. Turn it on and wait for 1 minute. The Belrina UV LED lamp will automatically turn off once the time is up. For your thumbs, cure them separately.

FAQs

How long do the strips last unopened?

The UV Gel Strips stay sealed in their packaging and are ready for use for over two years. Once opened, the strips have a shelf life of three months.
To keep them fresh, store opened strips in an airtight container in a dark place between uses to prevent premature curing. Use the sticker from the UV Gel Strips packaging for this purpose.

How long do the strips last on the nails?

Belrina UV Gel Strips typically last up to 3 weeks. However, depending on factors such as nail growth rate and daily activity, the wear time may vary.

How do I remove the strips without damaging my nails?

UV gel strips can be easily and gently removed with the Belrina Magic Remover Pen. Start by using the included manicure stick (or the Multi Tool) to carefully lift the strips at the edges. Then, slide the Magic Remover Pen under the lifted edges. Press the pump once or twice (up to 20 times on your first use) to release the remover serum beneath the strips. Apply the fluid generously; it’s packed with nourishing ingredients like vitamin E acetate, D-phenothiane, aloe vera gel, glycerin, jojoba oil, and argan oil to ensure a smooth and gentle removal. This makes the process effortless while also caring for your nails.

Can Belrina Nails make my nails longer?

Currently, Belrina Nails are designed to be filed to the length of your natural nail and do not extend nail length. We're working on solutions for nail extensions and will share updates as soon as they're available.

What makes Belrina different from traditional nail polish or other adhesive products? Why Belrina?

Belrina Nails offer several benefits over traditional nail polish and other adhesive options:

  • Easy to use with up to 3 weeks of wear
  • Flexible scheduling for manicures, even on the go
  • Gentler than conventional nail polishes or gel manicures from a salon
  • No brushes required, meaning no smudges or chipped polish
  • Vegan, HEMA-free, and Dermatest-certified

I can't wear long nails in my everyday life, but I'd like to try Belrina Nails. Will they work for short nails?

Absolutely! Belrina Nails are highly flexible and designed to adapt to various nail shapes, including short nails. Simply split the strips in half to cover two nails, or for very short nails, trim the strips with nail scissors for a perfect fit.

What if my nails are larger or have a different shape? Will the strips fit, and what if the right size is missing?

Each pack contains 20 strips in 8 different sizes, providing options for all nail shapes. The strips are flexible, so if you're unsure, opt for a smaller size. If you still can't find a perfect fit, you can trim the strips to your desired size or gently stretch them to cover the nail. Typically, each pack is enough for 2 to 4 manicure sessions.

Do I need a base/top coat and which products are recommended for this?

For extra protection, we recommend using a nourishing base coat, especially for soft or brittle nails. A top coat is optional, as Belrina Nails already feature a semi-cured UV polish layer. If using a third-party product, we suggest testing it on one nail to ensure compatibility, as certain products might cause the strips to peel prematurely.

Can I use Belrina Nails with broken or brittle nails?

Yes! Belrina Nails are designed to be gentler than gel manicures, as they don’t require filing or roughening the nail surface. They’re also free of harmful substances, making them safe for use on brittle nails. For better adhesion, buff your nails lightly with a soft file before applying the strips.

Is the Belrina UV Top Coat suitable for allergy sufferers?

Yes, our UV Top Coat is allergy-friendly and 14-free certified. However, it contains acrylates and methacrylates, which can cause reactions in very sensitive individuals. We recommend testing it on a single nail before applying it to all your nails. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist.

Can I use another UV lamp, or do I need the Belrina UV lamp?

You can use any compatible UV lamp, but for convenience and optimal results, we recommend using the Belrina UV lamp. It’s compact, efficient, and designed for both home and on-the-go use.

Is the Belrina UV lamp harmful?

No, the Belrina UV lamp emits minimal radiation compared to traditional salon lamps or natural sunlight. The 6W UV LED lamp is gentle, and the amount of radiation in a minute under the Belrina UV lamp is far less than the exposure you'd get from the sun. If you're concerned about UV exposure, you can apply sunscreen to your hands as an extra precaution.
